Conference Picks DenAdel for Weekly Honor

Sophomore Alan DenAdel has earned Northwest Conference Men's Cross Country Student-Athlete of the Week honors for his winning performance at last Saturday's Linfield Preview.

DenAdel (Bow, Wash. / Burlington-Edison HS) won the Linfield Preview at Willamette Mission State Park in Brooks, Ore., by nearly nine seconds with a time of 26:07.51 over 8000 meters. A total of 38 runners representing five conference schools competed in the race.

By finishing first last Saturday, DenAdel became the first Pacific Lutheran male runner to capture a cross country race since Floyd Bangerter won the 2002 PLU Cross Country Invitational at Ft. Steilacoom Park.
