College: In 2009, Beth made the AVCA Third Team
All-America for the second consecutive year, All-West Region Team,
and First Team All-NWC before tearing her ACL in the last match of
the season...in 2008, Beth earned AVCA Third Team All-American,
All-West Region first team, Northwest Conference Player of the Year
and first team All-Northwest Conference accolades...in
2007, Beth received American Volleyball Coaches Association
(AVCA) Freshman of the Year honors…became the first PLU
volleyball player to earn AVCA Division III First Team All-America
recognition…also earned Northwest Conference Player of the
Year, First Team All-Northwest Conference, AVCA West Region
Freshman of the Year and AVCA First Team West Region
recognition…set school record with an average of 5.34 kills
per game...ranked fourth in the nation in kills per
game…tied school record with 486 total kills...has lettered
twice for the Lutes.
High School: Started on varsity all four years at
Clackamas HS...first-team selection and Three Rivers League Player
of the Year...first team all-state in 2007.
Personal: Born April 8, 1989...parents are
Jeffrey and Deborah Hanna...majoring in elementary education and
intends to be a kindergarten teacher...Beth chose to attend PLU
because of the campus, friendly community, and volleyball...her
most memorable athletic achievement is earning first team
All-America honors.
