Miller Earns Academic All-District Honors

Lexie Miller (Tacoma, Wash. / Stadium HS), who recently graduated from Pacific Lutheran University, has been selected to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 8 College Women's cross country/track & field second team. Miller maintained a 3.91 grade point average while majoring in computer science and mathematics. She also served as a peer tutor in the school's academic assistance center.

During the cross country season, Miller was PLU's top finisher in four of the team's seven meets. In track & field, Miller broke her own school record in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a mark of 11:27.76. She placed in the top eight in that race, as well as the 5000-meter run and the 400-meter hurdles, at the 2009 Northwest Conference Championships held in Forest Grove, Ore.
