Heavy Rains, Unplayable Field Stops PLU Softball

SPOKANE, Wash. - Heavy overnight rains have led to unplayable conditions at Whitworth's Diana Marks Field, causing a postponement of Sunday's softball doubleheader between the Pirates and visiting Pacific Lutheran.

Plans to make up the games will be made at a later date after consultation between the schools' athletics directors.

Pacific Lutheran won the opening games of the four-game series on Saturday, 10-1 and 10-2.
