NWC Softball Coaches Tab Lutes for Fourth

Pacific Lutheran has been picked to finish fourth in this year's Northwest Conference softball race according to the NWC coaches preseason poll. Linfield has been chosen to win its seventh consecutive conference crown.

Linfield picked up seven first-place votes and 70 points in the poll to outdistance Willamette University, second in the poll with 55 points and the remaining first-place vote. Pacific University is third in the poll with 47 points, followed by Pacific Lutheran with 43 points.  
 
The Lutes, in their second season under head coach Erin Van Nostrand, return first team All-Northwest Conference infielder Caitlin Brown.
