Women Rowers Finish Seventh at Head of the Lake

SEATTLE - Pacific Lutheran had a strong showing in its only regatta of the fall season, placing seventh in the Head of the Lake on Sunday morning.

Rowing in the Women's Collegiate JV8+ division, the PLU women's varsity 8+ clocked 20:58.73 on the three-mile course. They were one of 10 boats in the race that was won by Washington State in a time of 18:04.33.

The men's varsity 8+ also raced at Head of the Lake, placing eighth in its 10-team competition. University of Washington A won the event in 15:39.06, while PLU clocked 18:44.15. PLU defeated two Washington State boats.
