Seattle University takes down PLU Men's Tennis 8-1
SEATTLE – Pacific Lutheran picked up one doubles win, but NCAA Div. I Seattle University proved too strong as the Redhawks defeated the Lutes 8-1 in a Tuesday afternoon nonconference men's tennis match.
James Okubo and Sam Stadter teamed up to pick up the Lutes' lone win of the afternoon, defeating Zach Kosanke and Gus Orlando 8-7 in the third doubles match. The Redhawks won the other two doubles matches by scores of 8-2 and 8-0 and swept the singles round.
The loss drops the Lutes' record to 3-11 overall this season. PLU returns to action Friday with a home rivalry match against Puget Sound at 3:30 p.m. at Sprinker Recreation Center. The Lutes host Linfield on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the PLU tennis courts.
