The Experienced Lutes

Three years ago, Kevin Floyd and Justin Peterson were the only two freshmen members of the 2006 recruiting class. Since then, the Lutes' ranks have been bolstered with the addition of transfers and new talent.

Following the conclusion of the 2009-10 season, the veteran seniors Floyd and Peterson will not be leaving alone. They will be joined by 2009 NWC Player of the Year Joel Trudel, All-NWC second team pick Michael Manser, Green River Community College tennis transfers Chris Dew and Michael Parretta, and finally, the former two-sport athlete of the year at Gig Harbor High School, Brent Smoots.

Each one of these players see the 2009-10 season as their last opportunity to take home that elusive NWC conference trophy. Floyd and Peterson are the only Lutes left on the team that have taken home a conference victory (2007) from the depths of Yakima Valley and fans and teammates alike this year look toward their leadership to bring home the 'W'.
