Peter Lechak is in his second season as an assistant coach. He will work primarily with the goalkeepers. Under Lechak's supervision, the PLU goalkeepers had a 1.27 goals against average with six shutouts in 2010, including four shutouts and a 0.88 goals against average for returning sophomore keeper Joe Rayburn.
A Connecticut native, Lechak played intercollegiate soccer at the University of Connecticut before transferring to the University of South Florida, both NCAA Division I schools. Lechak, who earned a degree in business economics in 2005 from the University of South Florida, went on to play semi-professional soccer for the Seattle Wolves FC.
Lechak holds a USSF A Coaching License and a NSCAA Level 3 Goalkeeping Diploma. He is the Washington State EPD Girls Goalkeeper Director, a Washington State EPD Head Coach, and the Highline Premier FC Director of Goalkeeping.
