Mangum, MacLean Earn All-Region Soccer Honors

A pair of Pacific Lutheran men's soccer players has earned 2008 NSCAA/adidas NCAA Division III All-Far West Region honors. The awards were announced by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

Daniel Mangum, a sophomore goalkeeper from Bothell, received second team recognition, while Derek MacLean, a junior defender from Seattle, was a third team choice.

Mangum finished the season with a 1.00 goals against average and 69 saves while starting all 19 of Pacific Lutheran's games. MacLean anchored a PLU back four that allowed a 0.98 goals against average for the season as the Lutes finished 9-8-2 overall.
