Fosnick Picked to Women's Golf Post

Michael Fosnick
Michael Fosnick, the PGA Head Golf Professional at Oakbrook Golf and Country Club, is the new women's golf coach at Pacific Lutheran University.
Fosnick graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in English. He has worked at Oakbrook since Feb. 2006, overseeing all aspects of golf operations for the club that numbers approximately 400 members. Fosnick has a prior association with PLU teaching golf classes at Tacoma Firs.
Fosnick has collegiate coaching experience, having served as women's golf assistant coach at the University of Puget Sound from 2003-06 and also at Green River Community College.
"We are excited to have Michael join the PLU athletic department," said Laurie Turner, director of athletics. "Mike is very connected in the golf community, which will provide a solid foundation for recruiting. I am confident that, with Mike's familiarity with the Northwest Conference, he will build the women's golf program into a strong force in our conference."
Fosnick replaces Mike Quatsoe, who coached the Lutes to a sixth-place finish at the 2009 Northwest Conference championship tournament.
