Lutes Play Four Home Games in 2009
Pacific Lutheran will play four home games at Sparks Stadium during the 2009 football season according to the schedule released today by head coach Scott Westering.
The Lutes will play a total of nine games, including six in the Northwest Conference. PLU will open the season on Sept. 12 with a home game against St. Olaf (Minn.), the only one of four home contests featuring a non-conference foe. The annual Homecoming game is scheduled for Oct. 3 against Lewis & Clark, and other home games will be played against Puget Sound on Oct. 24 and against Menlo on Nov. 7.
In a change from the recent past, kickoff for home games at Sparks Stadium will be moved up one hour to 12:30 p.m. Ticket prices for the home games remain the same: $10 for adults; $8 for alumni (with card) and military personnel (with ID); $5 senior citizens (age 62-and-above) and for non-PLU students (with ASB card). Children age 5 and under are admitted free of charge when accompanied by an adult.
Last season, Pacific Lutheran finished with a 3-6 overall record and was fourth in the Northwest Conference standings with a 3-3 mark.
